ProjectOverseer
Chris Bishop is a Producer/OMD Director working within the world of Independent music.
Over the last year he has become involved in film making ... simple films based on natrual beauty with the focus being the things most of us just miss or walk by.
Developing this new interest and encouraging others, Chris Bishop (founder of Project Overseer Productions, or `POP` for short) has now allowed the world of Independent Film Makers to join his OMD concept …. The marriage has been a good one as many visual/music collaborations have taken place.
For Chris, protecting the beauty of this world is paramount, his simple films hope to remind us that the `simple things` are the things worth protecting.

| This video is based on natural beauty, and was filmed along the Cliff tops
at Pegwell Bay, which is about 10mins from me by car.
Its an odd location with farmland one side and Cliff top sea views the
other.
Anyway, I took a walk along the scenic route and took a look at the
things most people miss … the Simple Things.

| We were all innocent when we were born into this world. But as the
years go by, our perspective of life also changes. Many people are so
concerned about material gains and wealth that they do not realise the
most important thing in their lives - their spiritual well-being. It's good to
take a step back once in a while, breathe deeply and search for our lost
souls. Look back in retrospect, here at the shore....

BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER

| Every time I venture out with my camera I cannot help but be struck
with natures awe ... even the simple things we walk past many times
have a beauty if we just stop and look.
The footage for this film was taken over a period of an hour or so near
where I live, again I'm using the JVC GZ-HD7 in manual mode and for the
first time I'm trying out one or two shots with an ultra wide angle lens
attachment outside its range to create a kind of dreamy quality, and I'm
also working in tele macro mode on many shots too.
The more I work with this camera the more I realise the key is `creative
control` and you can only do this in manual mode.
Music by my good friend Tony Cummings aka ActiveMinded - thanks bro! |
